Fatten Up Your Tone with this Octave Pedal If you’re chasing down a vintage- style octave effect, the TC Electronic Nether Octaver should be at the top of your list. It offers both one and two octaves below the original signal, an all-analog design, and super-simple controls. Depending on how you dial in the independent octave level controls, you can conjure anything from a thick and rich guitar lead to full-on bottom-end brutality. There’s also a dry knob that controls how much of the input signal remains in the output. Set it low for subtlety or set it high for synth-inspired tones.
